Rivals for a night
The Palio del Niederlech is one of the most awaited moments of Tempus Est Jocundum and represents the beating heart of the event. It's not just a competition, but of a tradition that involves the entire community and that every year ignites the pride of the historic villages of Gemona del Friuli:

During the evening of Friday in Piazza del Ferro, the villages compete in a series of tests like the running on wooden blocks, climbing, il target shooting and the game of the car. Dexterity, forza, speed, strategy and team spirit become the ingredients of an exciting competition in which the representatives of the different city districts are the protagonists.
At the end of the competitions, the village that has scored the highest number of points will win the prestigious Palio, an artifact created annually by a local artist, symbol of honor, valore e supremazia per l'edizione in corso di Tempus Est Jocundum.
